THE BRONX IS BURNING (TBIB) - (NYHC-Punk-Metal) is another in-ur-face blue-collar obnoxious Hardcore-Punk-Metal band who are on the same path of prominent NYHC krews like Agnostic Front and Sic Of It All. Playing 100 shows since the band was formed in 2005, work ethics is similar to Lou Reed and Ramones early CBGB's days when they started out. As one reviewer commented -- TBIB's sound "...strikes with the velocity and force of a major automobile pile-up on the Major Deegan Expressway during rush hour... The krew is currently in the studio fine tuning tracks. This band has the right components in place to be a killer national act. Definitely a New York attitude is included. For instance... The Bronx Is Burning turned down a hefty offer from ESPN to purchase rights to their name for the NY Yankees film of the same name. That is punk rock! MARK SHINE?? Personally Jamekee/D.I.A met Mark Shine in Cancun, Quintanaro - Mexico in mid 1990's. Mark was then perfoming and running Cats Niteclub on the strip. He then did a stint in London - UK. The Urban Rocsta then moved to Manhattan where he has been performing around the Rock on the Hudson River for a long minute. Mark Shine is a well seasoned "entertainer." Watch his BET/underground featured video "I'm A Butterfly" below. "I'm A Butterfly" is also being aired in the Carribean on World Reggae TV October 24th., 2009, on Caribvision across the Caribbean. TINGA STEWART - (Roots Reggae-Dancehall-Lover's Rock): TINGA STEWART is a Veteran Reggae Notch! There are a lot of great reggae singers. Tinga Stewart is definitely in that pool at the top as one of the purest reggae crooners. Crucial voice. Definitely check out the 'HAIL THE KING' track featuring Ras Myrdak singing praises to Emperor Haile Selassie in true reverence. Like all authentic Rastaman, Tinga Stewart does not wear Rastafari and Haile Selassie on his sleeves as style. King Selassie and Rastafari is not chanted between puffs of the spliff. Tinga Stewart will never get drunk and jump on a bar and act belligerent like 'Two White Punks'. No Jah roots inna dat (that). History goes back a while when The-90's in Brooklyn ran red-HOT with sewing machines stitching on a regular basis! Ask the "Ruff & Rugged" one... the original Shinehead!. Sleepy Wonder is currently the resident reggae deejay with Thievery Corporation. The 'I Want Her Back' hiphop-dancehall track ( on D.I.A Records (I) Myspace player) was recorded in early 90's a for Jamekee. And at a time when North Korea and Iran seem to be showcasing their nuclear capabilities and flexing muscles "for the good of their Countries," it is poignantly clear demonstrations are for positioning on the World Order stage. Nuclear energy is definitely being used as weapon of mass persuasion... "And The Truth Shall Be Known" and will flow like the Yakima, Snake, and Columbia rivers. Check out WOMP's head-banging stuff.
