Reggae/Punk/Funk/Metal CD Coming Soon!
BOBO GENERAL
Entered The Dancehall Once More With "EMOTIONAL" Release On NO CHOICE MUSIC GROUP/BUG MUSIC.
In the "Jamaican Reggae" fraternity, tons of artists break in Jamaica and filter through to dominate in USA, UK and other Farrin (Foreign) Countries. Farrin "Jamaican Reggae" artists breaking to infiltrate Jam Rock (Jamaica) on the same level as successful Yard artists is a seldom Big Bang Theory occurrence. Only a handful got through. Standouts (from predominantly NYC) -- Shinehead, Shelly Thunder, Shaggy, Mikey Jarrett, Alton Irie, Red Fox, Sleepy Wonder and Bobo General. Bobo General got the mic so we will stick to The General.

Bobo General (longside Sleepy Wonder) got his start on the 90's Brooklyn - NYC Mini Mart sound system. Bobo (and Sleepy's) big dancehall success was via the still hard-pounding 'Pounder' released on Shelly Records/Superpower label in 1992. Well the track might as well be entitled 'Pound Her' cos nuff worl o' gyal (gal) pickney got pounded in the era of the baby Benz. Bobo's follow-up hit was a track called 'Gal Gargon.' 'Gal Gargon' produced by UK's Jazwad and Robo Ranks was released on the duo's Musik Street UK label. 'Gal Gargon' pounded the UK to the point where even Super Cat (the Wild Apache) who was on the same Robert Livingston's showcase package with Frankie Paul, Trevor Sparks and Junior Demus, had to open for Bobo. As the legendary Dennis Alcapone would say, "it goes like that."

So sreggiN and Wiggers who thought Bobo General's lyrics ran out, jack dat (that) up and dash (throw) it away! After a 20-year reclusive absense, Sleepy Wonder dragged Bobo out to produce and record the new album "Emotional" which charted #30 out of the gate on UK's Top 100 Reggae Chart. "Emotional" was released on the No Choice Music Group/Bug Music labels and can be purchased digitally on finer outlets around The Third Rock From The Sun. Fantra Zine's fav tracks are 'Who Said We Are Done,' 'Jah Will Be There' and 'Emotional.'

"Ah who said that wi done
Come wi jus' ah come
Watch it mek wi cut out dem tongue
An' ah who sey dat wi finish
Stop talk gimmicks
Watch it mek wi kill dem with lyrics...
"

Go on thru Bobo General. Ok then... Shinehead next! No Choice!

And many thanks to Uptown Shem Herman who contributed contents in the early years. See you around NYC bruh. You kno -- Fantra Zine is about the truth. And the rustic rag hit like a sledge hammer! An' in the meantime -- just to be positive... It is wack to have traitors (Poser #1's) in ur camp. They begged to come aboard and once they get into the circle it's all smiles and even prayers circles in ur face. But behind ur back it's all a toxic endeavor. (Hey YO - D.I.A refused to pray with the devil. WTF!) It is wack how Poser #1's continuously pull a series of Colin Powells (disloyalty to his party) just to pose next to HR and and other celebs to post shit on Myspace like they knew them for life. Jamekee/D.I.A brought a lot of you into the circle: Blue Meadows, Michael Crevier, Duffy and dudes in El Paso, Texas (names ain't worth mentioning)... Can't look D.I.A in the eyes man. The muzik industry chews up Poser #1's and peeps who bite real peeps creations and ideas. But seriously, what do you think will happen if and when D.I.A tells HR (Bad Brains) to step away (from any situation)? Dude will do so in a "New York" minute!
